Happy End or So Far So Good?

The Telephone rings and rings...I am trying to prepare dinner and I am not in the mood to answer the phone. However, because I am so annoyed I pick it up and say in a rather monotone voice: " Hello?" ....nothing....I hear cars and mumbling in the background "Yes?" I say louder with a bit anger in my tone..."Eh, si Mel to...May Kids Church ba sa Sabado?" (This is Mel, is there Kids Church on Saturday?) My mood swings in the opposite direction as I shout totally excited:"MEL!" Mel is the "Wildfang" I wrote about in older blogs like on March 24.2010 "Eine unendliche Geschichte" (sorry guys it's in German). Mel used to live with us and left in August 2009 to be with her older brother in the streets. I visited her again in the streets, but couldn't convince her to come back to us. After that it was all bad news about her. Now she called and wanted to see us. YEAH! So on Saturday she really showed up to our Kids Church and brought her Mom and younger siblings along. What a joy to see her again. She is now 13 grew very tall (and skinny). I had a very good impression of her and was happy to hear that she stays now with her Mom in a small house and that she goes regularly to school! God is just awesome and answers prayers, because HE cares more than we do!

Another possible Happy End Story is in the making with the family I was writing about in a couple of blogs before like on March 21 "So Schnell Auf Der Welt" and on Oktober 7 "Nocheinmal Eine Chance". The parents made it into our Rehab Program and brought all four kids along. My heart leaps for joy when I see them now every week.

Regarding the two brothers, that we met at one of our Christmas Parties we are still following up on how to help. We might have found a shelter for them and hope to bring them to safety before Christmas...
