Ever Enough?

There are times when I have the overwhelming feeling if it will ever be enough what I am able to give. Wherever I look there seems to be a need or another pressing demand for something I suppose to do or give. The biggest lesson for today was taught to me regarding this matter by our dog. Yes, God can talk through donkeys and God can talk through dogs. Last June we got this adorable puppy. Our family loves dogs and we were all excited to get this new puppy. A GREAT DANE GIRL! What a lovely animal, but she is untamed and growing by the minute. At 5 months she weighs already 25 kilo. All she wants to do is play. She doesn’t care what time of the day it is, if we are busy or if it’s a cell phone or a shoe she is chewing up. With this playful giant around, we understand the word “DEMAND”. With the force of her bodyweight she pushes HER way. Her favorite spot is on ones lap and with the Philippine climate and a giant dog like this, it’s not even a cute habit…what’s needed are boundaries! We can’t and we won’t be pushed by a dog. She can and she will be trained to obey! Today I got the feeling though that I have so many giant puppies in my life pushing and demanding always for something. They come in different shapes and sizes but all with the same attitude to try to bully me around! NEEEDS! It’s my choice if I let them master me or if I take charge and let the heavenly trainer take over to satisfy them. HE alone is able to do all things. So I should stop being ridiculous to think I should even try to give in to all demands I can't meet anyway!
